Giulia Argenziano, born in 1996, is a set designer and visual artist; she studied in Brescia, Italy, at the Santa Giulia Academy of Fine Arts, where she obtained the Master’s Degree in Scenography and Performing Arts Technologies in February 2023. In parallel with her studies, she had her first work experiences, interweaving artistic collaborations and lending her professional and interdisciplinary approach to different institutions of the entertainment industry.
In her artistic research she investigates the methods of hybridization between traditional theatre and new technologies, experimenting with the use of video as a medium and extension of the scenic possibilities. In this sense, she collaborated in 2018 with Balletto Civile, a dance-theatre group, founded by Michela Lucenti, for the show Super, of which she created the multimedia scenography.
Since 2021, she has been set designer, light designer and visual artist for Matrice Teatro, with which she stages the contemporary prose theatre shows “Funambole” e “Il dilemma dei cento girasoli fotovoltaici” (winner of #PoweredbyREF 2022). Since 2022, she has been collaborating as visual artist with the experimental theatre company Instabili Vaganti, with which she works on the scenic setting of “In viaggio verso Eutopia”, a show born from the research project Beyond Borders.
At the same time, she works for live music events, becoming from 2018 to 2022 the official visual artist for Pinguini Tattici Nucleari’s band. For the group she worked on the creation of the multimedia scenography for three national tours: Gioventù Brucatour (2018), Fuori Dall’Hype Tour (2019) e #DoveEravamoRimastiTour (2022).
