KËRTHÈATRE, was born from the desire to give life to a project realized thirty years ago between Senegal and Italy, that Mandiaye N’Diaye has been carrying on since the 90s with the Teatro delle Albe in Ravenna.
A development project in Diol Kadd and on the outskirts of Dakar, a project between responsible tourism and theater that can be an opportunity for young people, a real alternative to emigration to Europe, while maintaining close ties with Italy and the rest of the world. Diol Kadd has thus become a travel and study destination, and the project in the suburbs of Dakar, with international partners, has often benefited from large European projects within the N.A.T. African talent network.
KËRTHÈATRE, integrates the Theater, creating a new flow of Responsible Tourism: low impact tourism in the form of an experience of discovery, relationship, meeting and exchange, providing for study trips and other forms of intercultural exchange. Its goal is to connect Senegal and the rest of the world, in an exchange of cultures, experiences, opportunities.
Ker Theater is the Senegalese center of the Assitej network and constantly collaborates with the Italian Cultural Institute of Dakar.
