Megalopolis#India is the result of a research and workshop session developed in Mumbai in collaboration with QTP, Thespo 24 Festival and the Italian Cultural Institute of Mumbai. It has involved performers and artists under 25. Megalopolis#India is a metamorphic performance that, through an experimental and multidisciplinary approach, recomposes on stage a kaleidoscope of stories emerging from the underground of the great Indian metropolis. The performers go through different transfigurations evoking characters, feelings, personal memories to give voice to marginal stories that merge with the events of contemporary global history and reflect on the absurdity of walls and borders that still separate the world and societies today. Political, geographical, social, gender, interpersonal boundaries that we challenge every day in an attempt to go beyond those limits that demarcate our lives.
